Earlier today, I realized that I didn't have much on my plate for the evening. I thought it would end as most of my evenings do: sitting either with Collin or Jessica or both, watching a movie, eating popcorn, and checking my e-mail compulsively.
But Jessica is a member of the on-campus advertising agency Allen Hall Advertising, and these lucky blokes were just given the Oregon Baseball account-meaning that the athletic program handed the ad campaign over to the advertising students in the School of Journalism and Communication.
Because of this, Jessica knew that baseball games are free for students, so she suggested that we three go to a baseball game! I grew up playing softball, so I LOVED the idea. I love watching baseball. It is so relaxing.
I popped us some popcorn because I have an insatiable desire for the stuff these days, and brought some cans of Coke Zero, and we drove to the game.
That was one of the coolest parts. No one ever drives to football games because there is no parking, it takes less time to walk after all the traffic is taken into account, and walking is free. So when we were able to drive out to the stadium, and not have to walk home after the game, I was in heaven.
Luckily, the sun was shining during the game, and the home team's dug out had its back to the sun, letting us warm ourselves while comfortably viewing the game.
This was actually really special for us because we are graduating, and we had the chance to go to a game just after the stadium was built.
These are things that we will remember all of our lives about our senior year at Oregon.
