Plans for Spring Break

March 15, 2009 - 10:45 PM

Hooray! It is time for spring break. I would say "finally time," but it seems that this term just flew by!

In the upcoming two weeks, I have a lot planned! First of all, my boyfriend Collin and I are leaving Eugene tomorrow afternoon after his final. Then we are going to start painting my grandmother's condominium to prepare it for a sale. We will be doing that to earn money throughout the break. I am also going to be having a storage garage sale for the furniture that is in her storage garage, which will be a task but I am excited to help my grandmother and earn a little money.

Aside from the chores, Collin and I are planning on going to Eagle Creek for a hike, which we did after having dated for three months. It has been more than a year since then, and we are really looking forward to revisiting the beautiful, and hopefully sunshiny hiking site!

My dad, his girlfriend, her kids, Collin, and I are planning on driving out to Helvetia, Oregon to go to the Helvetia Tavern for their famous burgers! They are huge and delicious, but the best part of the experience is going out into the country during sunset and looking out over the rolling hills!

Collin and I are also heading up to Seattle to see my best friend Jennifer and her boyfriend Nick, whom we have not met! Jenn and I will spend the afternoon together before going on a double date that evening. The next day, Collin and I are going to spend some time at Pike's Place and other attractions around Seattle.

And the biggest part of spring break will be finally seeing my mom after an entire term's separation! We will be spending to nights in Long Beach, Washington, at the hotel that my family has been staying at for twenty years. I am hoping to take Collin's dog on runs on the beach, crack crab, edit my blog, and spend some quality time swimming and hot-tubbing with my mom, dad, and Collin-not to mention the dogs Murphy and Daisy.

After this arduous term, the two weeks of spring break will be a fantastically relaxing!
