"People Don't Get As in This Class"

October 5, 2009 - 5:18 PM

Or so my professor of Geology of National Parks said on our first day of lecture.

But then again, she has never met me.

At that moment, I vowed to score the best grade that teacher has ever awarded.

How can geology be that difficult? The trick to the class is to learn the facts and be able to pick the correct answer out of the four in the multiple choice questions.

It seems to me that I think of each course as a challenging game. Or more like a fun battle in the war of my undergraduate education. In each battle I have fought thus far, I have been the victor. Now that I have heard that this course will be a challenge, I will draw my pen and fight to the final!

When I sit down to study the material, I eat it up! I can't help myself. I know that I will have to study all of it in order to conquer the material that is supposedly too challenging for any student to overcome. But mark my words, I will bear my teeth in the face of the national parks, and find a way to come out on top.
