During our college years, Collin and I have taken up golf with the help of my father, who although is not a seasoned player, has taken enough lessons to coach us through a few courses.
We have only ever been to the Laurelwood Golf Course in Eugene before, and that was more than a year ago. So when I saw the Oakway Golf Course advertised in the Oregon Daily Emerald, offering $10 with student ID, we decided that it was time to give the course a shot.
The whole week, my dad and I wondered how the weather would turn out, and luckily, the sunshine held out, and the day was a perfect one for golfing.
Anne, Collin's mom, decided to join us as well, so she got to drive the cart for the first time in her life. The course has a lot of short holes, which is very "forgiving" as a fellow golfer said. So our first game of the season ended up being one to remember. The scenery was gorgeous, and we were able to scope out the course-side real estate while we played.
All the while, Collin and I were able to catch our parents up on all the things were are doing in our last term of school at the U of O.
This term seems to be overflowing with opportunities to make memories that we hope will last forever. That I hope that by blogs are accurately reflecting the feeling of duty to make the most out of our last term of senior year.
