I had forgotten how stressful it can be to have midterms. I haven't had too many demands yet, but I can feel the walls compressing around my U of O planner that I get at the beginning of every year.
Everywhere I turn, people are talking about midterms, and I think that there is just a different atmosphere in the middle of each term that takes me by surprise every time.
It surprises me to listen to people partying outside my window, even on the weekends, because I am in a constant stressful-place. Every second I get, I am in my books, or outlining papers, or preparing for tests at the beginning of the week that should be after midterms, but the teacher thought that she would be ironic and string her test out to the following week.
Regardless, I am looking forward to a comfortable week seven. It is two weeks away, but it will be smack-dab between midterms and finals.
Until then, I will be at my computer while my boyfriend watches ESPN and my roommates paint their nails.
