I went out on top: Ducks win the Civil War to advance to the Rose Bowl in my last game as a student at Autzen Stadium. What more could you ask for? It is only beginning to hit home how incredibly lucky I am to have been at every home game (all wins) this season, and the most memorable season I've seen as a student.

After the LeGarrette Blount punch following the Boise State loss, I was ready to write off the Ducks this season. However, Chip Kelly masterfully turned the season around with dominating victories over Cal and USC (among others), and the season was capped in dramatic fashion with close victories over Arizona and Oregon State. The Civil War made the season come full circle, bringing back LeGarrette Blount from suspension to earn back his chance to contribute to a victory that sends the Ducks to Pasadena.

To make the victory even sweeter, I got some face time on ESPN. My roommate Jeff made a sign that read: "LaMichael, which is Spanish for 'The Michael'." The sign played off the Saturday Night Live joke from Chris Farley in which he says, "El Niño, which for those of you don't habla Español, is Spanish for 'The Niño.'" Luckily for us, it landed us on ESPN following LaMichael James' third touchdown of the game.

Personally, this Duck will also be flying south to Pasadena. I have family that lives about 20 minutes from the Rose Bowl, and I have sealed up two tickets to the Rose Bowl. It's going to be a great way to kick off the New Year with a Buckeye beatdown. Go Ducks!
