Weekend in Eugene!

November 11, 2009 - 10:00 PM

Walking, walking, and walking. I'm out of breath, but in a good way. In a good way though, like I just had the most exciting conversation or crazy laughing fest. I was so busy this weekend, but it was great. It was all fun stuff and it all made me happy. It started Friday night. My friend Leah asked if I wanted to do the art walk downtown. We started out doing that then there were so many people that we ended up just watching the glass blowing at a studio that wasn't on the tour this month. Glass blowing is freaking amazing. It is crazy how people can do stuff like that. After that we went back to Leah's apartment and watched a movie. Then Saturday she asked if I wanted to go Salsa dancing at Cosmic Pizza. Doesn't sound like the greatest place to Salsa dance, but it was still cool. I have never gone Salsa dancing. It was my very first time. Luckily there was an hour long basic step lesson before the music just played. If I don't say so myself, I did pretty well. I had so much fun though. I plan to keep going. I guess the Vet's club has Salsa the first three Fridays of every month. My friend Leah will be leaving after this term because she graduates and then in January she plans to leave for South Korea to work. She is crazy like that though. I will have to find others to enjoy Salsa with me. Anyway, after dancing Saturday we just talked for a few hours. I ended up staying with her because it was so late already by the time we got back and by the time we started getting really sleepy. It was a warm sleep. She has the heater in her tiny little apartment room and the both of us shared her twin bed on which she must have a comforter. Like I said, it was a warm sleep.

Over all it was a great weekend. It is the most fun I have had in a long time. Probably mostly because I didn't have to go to any parties where I had to watch over friends getting drunk or be around a bunch of super smashed kids doing dumb things. It was good.

Well that is all I can think of for now. So until next time...
