SPARKY!!!!!

Wow, what a crazy week!!! First week is over. It felt kind of like a marathon in some ways. I felt slightly drugged this week too. I get up at seven or seven thirty everyday for classes. I get up and drag myself around a little bit. It's weird because after getting up at six everyday for three months you would think seven would be great, but I think that is the problem. It's more sleep so it throws me off. I need another week or two and then I will jump out of bed, do my exercises, probably ride my bike to class, and be all perky and happy all the time. So yesterday my roomie and I decided to take a bike ride towards Valley River Center Mall (or VRC if you go to the UO). So we are all chatty and happy and then I start to fall behind. For anyone who has made this bike ride it is not at all bad. It is relatively flat, although not as flat as the mid west, so it should not have felt like I have never biked before. By the time we made it to Alton Baker Park I'm way out of breath and like starting to wheeze. This is when my roomie tells me my tires are pretty low. Awesome!!!! That means you have to push twice as hard to get half as far. Talk about a work out. Anyway, we decided to check Ross for a lovely rug for our dorm room. You see our floors are concrete and our feet freeze when we walk around bare foot once the weather outside starts to cool down. It's not cool having frozen feet (get the pun?!?!?!?!). I crack me up. So Ross didn't have anything that we could really take back with us since we had biked. Then we go to Petco. That rocked!! We got a FISH!!!! It is the cutest little Betta male. It is technically my roommate's, but we share a love for this little blue guy. Sparky is the name she came up with. He sometimes kind of spazzes out, which is how she came to the name Sparky. It's a spazzy name. He doesn't like the little fake plant that was in his bowl so she took it out so he could get used to his new home (for his old one was a little dish that you would find dip in in a grocery store). Then later she tried to put it in again and he just started freaking out like crazy. So no fake plant for him. He prefers the wide open space of his little fish bowl. It is kind of nice having a fish. Now when one of us is here all alone there is someone we can talk to, or maybe that's just me. I like to talk and when I'm alone it's hard to talk to people. Well that is all I can say about Sparky for right now. I have a lovely three hour meeting to prepare for and some errands to run. So until next time...

Sparky is cute! He needs to meet all the other fishes in llc, Mark Twain lives with me and my sister, and chung jr. lives almost next door to you guys :)
