So we are driving to the airport. It's a small airport so there is no need to be there too early. My cousin and I get out tickets and check our bag. Then we sit in the restaurant with our grandparents. We are talking and it is soon ten after seven. Our flight leaves in twenty minutes and they still have yet to start checking us. I just figure that the plane had not yet arrived. It's just a puddle jumper to Phoenix from Yuma. Well a few minutes later someone else from our flight says it's delayed. My cousin and I jump up and run to the departures. Our 7:29pm flight was delayed until 9pm! Talk about a delay. This sucked for us because we are set to leave Phoenix at 9:10pm. No chance at making that. Darn sand storm in Phoenix delayed a ton of flights. Well all the flights for today were booked. I celebrate Christmas on the 24th with my mom's side of the family and the 25th with my dad. Well now I leave tomorrow at 6:15am from Yuma and arrive home at 10:34am. Crazy isn't it. All because a sand storm arose I got to spend an extra two nights with my grandparents and stay where it is warm for a day longer. Although I am not looking forward to a 6am flight (I'm not much of a morning person) I am happy to have the ability to see my grandparents that I hardly see. My cousin and I got different flights back, but that is no worry. I flew to Germany and home by myself. That is 10 hours; this is like 4 all together.
Well I need to pack so I can get up at 4:30am instead of staying up all night to pack. So until next time...
