Online Education

I don't know about all of you out there, but I know that I don't particularly always agree with online schooling. I think it is a great opportunity for anyone who has to work full time and is still trying to get an education. Then, online is great for them because they can squeeze it into their busy lives. However, there are still people out there who take it simply because they are just too lazy to get out of bed and go to classes. This way they can go to "class" whenever they feel like it. That just seems cheap to me. Also, I always feel a little worried when I see these commercials for the different online schools. They talk about getting your degrees in fifteen months, when in fact going to a university it would take you longer, and they are degrees for things such as motorcycle mechanic or a paralegal. I would think to become a motorcycle mechanic that you need hands on experience and training and that is not something you are going to get when you get your degree online. Not that I drive a motorcycle or anything, but if I did I sure wouldn't want the person working on my motorcycle to have an online degree. Like I said though, for those people who have to take care of families, work full time, or have any other legitimate reason to do online school, then it's a great opportunity for them. If you are just too lazy to go or if you are getting a degree in just over a year for something like a mechanic, that's when I don't agree with online college.
