OK, so I'm a total nature buff. I love the outdoors. I was meant to live there I think. I find it so peaceful and beautiful. It is just naturally beautiful. Well the other day was just so nice and hot out that I could not go against my urge to go for a bike ride. I didn't go too far. I just went to the bridge that you walk across to get to Autzen Stadium. The water there is so awesome. It looks so peaceful in some areas and really turbulent and scary looking in others. I love to ride my bike there and just sit on one of the benches and watch and listen to the water. I sat there for a good twenty to thirty minutes the other day. It's hard for me to part sometimes. The power of the water just amazes me. For something that is really quite soft and smooth it can be very powerful. The rapids don't look so bad, but I still wouldn't want to get caught in them without something to help me through them. It is cool sometimes, because when I sit there and watch the water, every once in a while a set of people kayak through the rapids. Its fun to watch because you see them coming from one way, then they disappear under the bridge, and then pop out on the other side. It's great. I know that they can all handle it, but I still get nervous every time I see them going. It looks like so much fun though. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I had to be careful. It was so windy the camera was jerking in my hand. I just took the best ones I could without accidentally dropping it into the water.
Yesterday was kind of another nature day. I spent five hours in a mini business school day to prepare me more for my internship this summer. Afterwards we played basketball, Frisbee, and volleyball in the sand pit here on campus. I don't play volleyball well, but it was fun. There was a big group of us to start, but it started to dwindle after a while. I had no homework so I stuck around. It was so much fun. It felt good too. I have not had anything like that since I injured my knee. It was a perfect day!
Well I cannot believe today is the last day of May! It just blows my mind. I have eight days until I'm done and about a week and a half before I leave for Nebraska. So crazy! Well my mom is going to be here pretty quick so I should probably go and finish getting ready. So until next time...
