OMG!!! If you go to the UO or are in the area you have to see this play Metamorphosis. It is so good. I had goose bumps the entire time. It is wicked cool. It amazes me every time how professional college seems to be. My high school was so small I guess. I don't know. I just know that I absolutely loved it. A friend on the guys floor was in it so all of us girls that are friends with him dressed up all pretty and went to see it opening night. Just thinking about everything that had to come together and all the practice that had to be done for this play just makes my head spin. It's done in ankle deep water so there was more practice and caution involved. It would be easy to slide and hurt yourself or someone else. The set up they made so make the water possible is really cool. I just really don't know how to explain how the play was. It was a bunch of different Greek myths put together to kind of create a sort of storyline. I really love Greek mythology (actually just about all mythology) so I thought it was cool and easy to follow. If you don't know too much about the myths you might be a little confused (but it's about chaos so I think that is kind of the effect they are going for), but I would still say to see it. Even if you can't follow it you will be amazed at the awesomeness of everything. The set seems so simple, but the way the actors use it just makes it seems like so much more. If I had seven dollars I would totally go see it again. That was how awesome it was. My friend, Jameson, was really good too.
Everyone was, but it was really cool getting to see Jameson in action. I have heard him talk about all the different production he has been involved in and it seemed pretty cool, but because I had not seen him myself I was not so sure he was as great as he said. Now I know he is. He is really good. I guess being involved with theater since you are like seven makes you pretty good at it. I'm not sure I could do that. I have always wanted to act in a play, but I chicken out or get weak knees. Giving a report or something like that in front of a crowd doesn't intimidate me, but acting and pretending to be someone I'm not in front of an audience just scares me. I know it seems crazy, but it's true. Well I really recommend seeing it. It goes tonight, next weekend and the weekend after. You can go to the UO Theatre website and find out the actual dates and everything. So until next time...
