OMG!! Can I just commend bus drivers? I just don't know how they do it. I do not think I could drive that huge beast of a bus. Some of the corners they take are crazy. I mean talk about finesse. They are navigating through these narrow streets of Eugene that also have cars parked on the side of the road making it even narrower. I just cannot believe how great they are. They must go through a lot of training. Anyway, I'm done commending them now.
So how great was the weather this weekend?? OK, I know it was really cold, but it was sooo.... beautiful. I went home this weekend. It was nice to get away. I know I just got back from Christmas break, but how could I pass up going home for a long weekend? My three day weekend turned into a four day weekend too, so it was even nicer. My friend Katrina came home with me. We had a great weekend together. We shared many adventures and stayed up way later than I normally do. It was a great change. We had dinner with my entire family. I know that seems like a lot for a first time visitor (well with my family it is definitely a lot). I have three little cousins that are the cutest little things, but some of the most energized little ones I have ever met. I am pretty sure they could give the Energizer Bunny a run for its money. Even so, it was a lot of fun. It is always great getting together with my family because we are crazy and I love that. Not to mention there is always a bunch of great food to eat (more choices and better tasting that most of the stuff on campus, probably because it is cooked with love). We also decided at like 11:30 to go to Sonic (which is a good half hour from my house) and when we got there we found out they had closed at 11. So we found a different place to eat instead. That was a fun trip. We got lost and I got lucky and stumbled upon a road that I knew and could get back to my house from there. It was fun though. Then we watched a movie every night. It was fun. We had some really good girl bonding time. Friday night we had a "third grade" party. We were talking about how we had not had a sleepover since like the third grade. It was fun. We did each other's nails, watched a movie, and talked until late in the night. Then she came back to school Monday and I was left at home to do homework. I mean we worked on a little bit of homework while at my house, but we never seem to have gotten that far. There was always a story that needed to be told or somebody online to talk with. It's all good though. We are catching up now. That's what's important. You have to have some fun in your life. It was really good for me because I'm never late with homework. I always do my homework like a day before it needs to be done. That is just how I have always been. College is teaching me to relax and enjoy time. I may have to stress a little later, but it is worth it to have some fun for a while. One weekend won't kill me. It is good to take a break sometimes.
Well I think it is time to go to bed soon. It has been a long day. A long bus ride. So until next time...
