I received two text messages after my one and only class today (human geography). Both of them were to inform me that my aunt Terri (my dad's sister) had her beautiful baby daughter by C-section at one thirty this afternoon. Her name is Samantha Dawn and she was seven pounds and twenty inches!!! I was also informed that both are doing well after this exciting day. My aunt also has another kid, a boy named Matthew. He will be thirteen this year. Although I can't say for sure because I have not talked to him, I think he is pretty excited to have a baby sister, or at least to be a big brother. It is kind of weird to think that I'm going to be twenty in September and my aunt just had a baby today. That is quite an age difference. I'll be married and have kids of my own who are well on their way in life by the time little Samantha gets to college. It doesn't matter to me though. I think it is great to have another cousin. I feel kind of bad though. You see a majority of my cousins on my dad's side of the family are girls. The boys that are on that side of the family are so far apart that they really don't have much in common. I mean they talk or the older ones play with the younger ones, but it's just not the same. I have a cousin a year older than me and almost a year younger than me. It's just weird how that worked out. It kind of goes with the fact that my grandparents had three girls and two boys. Maybe that's why there are so many girls. Well it's too early for pictures, but I'm sure she is a beautiful little girl. She does come from a line of good looking people (I mean just look at my picture...lol ok I'm not that self-centered). I'm so excited for break to come. I will do what I can to get over and see her and meet her. I don't care if I'm so much older than her, she is still my cousin and I'll love her just the same. Who knows, maybe I'll be like a role model or something. Maybe, I might be a bit old to be a role model for her just yet. My grandma flew in just Thursday to help my aunt with everything. She probably got here just in time. From what I have heard from a lot of people is that my aunt was a fair sized pregnant. I'm sure she loved having the extra help around the house. My grandma loves to clean I think. I know every time she was at our house she cleaned. Maybe she is just a really helpful person and wanted to help my mom with some stuff since she worked all day. Whatever the case though, we love her. I hope to get pictures soon. I really want to see. I will see if I can share them ya'll too!! Well that was my exciting moment of the week. It's not my baby, but I feel so full of pride and joy that it very well could be. I guess that just shows how much family means to me. Speaking of family, my mom is coming up this weekend to spend Valentines with me. My brother is busy and my mom and I don't have valentine's so we are going to just have our own little party and enjoy ourselves. That being said I need to get some more homework done so I don't have to do it while she is here. So until next time...

I have seen the pics and Samantha is very beautiful!!
