Kansas Craziness

So I left off by going through most of sales school. Man we were running everywhere. There is nothing like a mini-marathon with a twenty, or so, pound bag strapped to your back. Oh yeah and let's add the fact that I have exercise induced asthma. Fun times. I would finally get to sit down and I would be so out of breath that I'm pretty sure people three rows behind me could hear me wheezing. I lived though. Then we got to sit through some awesome presentations. T he energy in that room was so electric, it probably could have powered the whole building (and the auditorium we were in was no laughing matter). The key speakers were very energetic as well, which in turn got us all fired up. Well Friday finally rolled around and it was time to head to Kansas with my manager who just so happened to be my roommate as well. Then all of a sudden she takes an exit on the freeway (see we each brought a car so I was following here since she had GPS and I get lost going to the store sometimes) and stops at a gas station. I'm thinking, no biggie, just needs some gas. Oh no she says we have a host family now so we are going to McCook, NE to help some boys there find a host family. Oh yeah this is after staying in Lincoln to help some other boys find a home for the summer. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem helping others, but McCook was a good three to four hours in the other direction from the cute little town of Wamego I was supposed to be living in. Oh well though. I got to know the boys a lot better and we kind of became pretty good friends. One of the boys drove back with me at the end of the summer too. Anyway, Nici and I finally arrived in our little town Monday evening and started work on Tuesday morning.

So my schedule every day...

5:59am- WAKE UP AND RUSH TO THE SHOWER TO TAKE A WONDERFULLY COLD SHOWER!!

6:10- Rushing out the door with a heavy bag and feeling slightly cold from my shower.

6:15- At our breakfast spot

7-7:10- Leaving the breakfast spot to do executive exercises (a song and dance meant to get you all fired up for the day!)

7:20- Leaving the gas station

7:59- Knocking on my first door (at the latest this is, I usually started earlier because I lived twenty minutes away)

9:30-10- leave last sit down and head for home

10-11- Shower, eat dinner, call manager to conference with, do paperwork

11- in bed if you were lucky

Now I know this sounds horrible, but I actually enjoyed it. It was a crazy summer, but so much fun. The schedule was not that bad. You got used to it pretty quickly. Well I still need to shower for the day (that is if they are done fixing the bathroom) and head off to class pretty soon. So until next time...
