Kahneeta...Awesome!!

First can I just start off by saying how awesome today's date is? Three, six, nine. That is just so cool. I don't know why, but it always makes me chuckle when the date is like a multiple or something. I'm totally not into math either. Who knows though, maybe there is a raging math-o-holic inside me that I have been repressing the last nineteen years (I'm doubting it though). I never sucked at math, but it was never my favorite subject. I have always done better with English and foreign language. I find those both more fun and more practical than needing to know logarithms (although I must admit I found that fun). I guess whoever makes the curriculums just want us to be well rounded. Makes sense, no matter how much it sucks.

OK, so I wanted to talk about one of my favorite vacation places. It's called Kahneeta. It is an Indian reservation in the middle of nowhere in some county I can't remember the name of. There is no cell service and unless you have some money there isn't a lot to do (about now you're probably asking why is this fun then??). In spite of all that I love it. It has a double Olympic size natural hot springs pool with two water slides (although the second one is new so I can't tell you how awesome that one is because I have yet to slide down it). I'm a swimmer. I love the water. That's all you do. Swim and lay out by the pool. My family stays in the teepees. They are smaller, closer to the pool, and cheaper. Something that is also cool is the fact that the showers are free!!!! Those of you who go camping often and just boil the water and bath everyday and shower like twice while camping know how awesome this is. When camping you always pay a buck to a buck fifty for three to five minutes of marginally warm water (not always, but usually in my case at least) is not fun. So free showers, especially when swimming in a pool, is awesome. The teepees actually rock too. We take our air mattresses because otherwise you have to sleep on a concrete floor. There is a fireplace inside and a picnic table. Then my brother is really good at taking this super long string we have and stringing it around so that we have a place to hang our lantern and paper towels above the table and a place to hang our towels towards the edges (which also conveniently makes rooms on both sides). We will usually go for two nights and three days. It gets boring pretty fast with just swimming for us. It's two or three days of me wearing no makeup, usually a slight bit red from being a little sunburned, and red eyes from swimming so much and the sun. For me it is an awesome few days. Well this is long enough and I have to search through pictures to send along with this. So until next time...
