Oh my gosh!!!!! I miss my dog so very, very much. He is the smelliest thing sometimes, but what can I say? He is my love. He is the most unique dog I have ever met. He is so human like that it is almost scary. He is a shar pei and husky mix. We rescued him from the pound in my hometown. My mom now wishes we would have also adopted one of his brother's or sister's, but we didn't. Instead the stinky mutt got to be spoiled. This dog, in our old house, would actually lie on the vents in the summer so he could feel the cold air!!!!! In winter, he laid on them for heat. He is the sweetest dog ever. I'm pretty sure the most damage he could do to someone is licking them to death. He just loves people. We do wonder if we were ever attacked if he would react. Personally, I think he would. I think he would know we are in actual danger. Sometimes when there are people outside our house (my backyard is on a main road that has a road that leads to where people want to seem to be) he gets this special, deep, stay away from my house bark and the hair on his back raises. It's scary sounding and looking, but in a weird way it makes me feel safe. I just miss him so much. Oh by the way his name is Henry. I was very adamant that we name him Henry. Not a name one usually hears for a dog's name. The story is my mom's grandma used to have this dog that sat on the shelf when you walked in. It is brown and has black ears and it has a little patch on its chest that says Henry. Well since my dog was tan I was convinced he should be named Henry. My brother was terrified of him when we first brought him home. He was very excited to help pick out the biggest dog in the liter (which my mom tried to protest), but once we got in the car with him and he walked all over us (lack of car manners) my brother freaked. Then when we were finally home he stood on the coffee table afraid of Henry while my parents and I played with him. When we were in the pound they let me hold him. Let's see I was almost seven, so I couldn't hold that much weight and Henry was probably a good fifty pounds, maybe forty. They put him in my arms and he didn't move a muscle. It was like he instinctively knew that if he so much as wriggled I would drop him. It was so awesome. Now he is twelve and a half years old. He is a big dog so he is pretty old. I just can't put into words how much I Tan doglove this dog. He lies by my side when I'm really sick and down (if I just have a cold he wants in and out all day) and when I come home for a weekend he sticks to me like glue. It is so sweet. The only problem is that we never taught him to be okay with touching his mouth so we never brushed his teeth. He has the most horrid breath. It's weird though because it will go away for a while and I'm pretty sure every time I come home the bad breath comes back. It is so bad that I literally have to leave the room for a little bit. I used to love it when he slept in my room, now I just kick him out. Not to mention, being the old man that he is he can't hold his bladder all night and I don't really like getting up at three or four in the morning to let him out, especially since he thinks that it's a great time to do some exploring!! I feel bad sometimes though because he really wants in and he tries to open the door or gives me those sad puppy eyes, but I just can't do it. I need my beauty sleep uninterrupted by bad breath and potty breaks. All in all though I love him and wouldn't trade him in for anything. Well it's late and this is long enough as it is. So until next time...

Well I have met this dog and I totally think he is awesome. I love these pictures. I really captures how "unique" he is!! I hear he likes to party!! lol
