Awesome Weekend

Well this weekend is coming to a close. It was very awesome and a great break from school. I kept so busy this weekend too that it is easy to believe that it is already over. I still am going shopping today; I need some summer clothes for Nebraska. I also have to pack. That won't take too long though since I don't have to bring much when I come home for a weekend. Yesterday I took my dog for a walk. That was fun. He is a bigger dog and a complete idiot when it comes to walking him (we made the mistake of not taking him enough as a puppy and now he can't walk without getting over excited). Sometimes you have to wonder who is walking whom.He has husky in him so he is a very strong dog. You have to be careful when walking him. He could easily take off, but somehow he knows he can't do that and is easy enough so that you don't struggle too much.It is a great arm workout for me. Sometimes it gets my legs too, when I have to stop him from chasing a cat or keeping him away from another dog. As he has gotten older he doesn't like other dogs as much, especially male dogs. He gets very protective and just doesn't seem to want to be bothered by another dog.

Overall though he is so sweet and mild tempered. He has always made me feel safe and he has always taken care of me when I was sick. How could I not love him? He smells so bad in his old age and is so argumentative, but when I look into his deep brown (now cloudy) eyes I see nothing but love. You just know that he loves you. He is always around and stays nearby me when I come home. He is never sure how long I'll be here. It's really quite sweet (although I trip over him sometimes because he is so close). He is the most spoiled dog too. He has always been a house dog, when we leave we get people to check in on him, he has ac in the summer, heat in the winter, plenty of food and water, and always our love. I think this dog is so spoiled by our love. All he has to do is look at us and almost always, without fail, one of us will go to him and give him a belly rub or scrub his ears. He just loves it. Well I need to keep this one kind of short. I'm in a little bit of a time crunch to finish a few things that are going to take at least an hour to do. So until next time...
