ā€œChange...Yes or No?ā€

So apparently the distribution for football tickets has changed...again! During my freshmen year, I remembered students actually camped out the night before to get football tickets on Monday morning. That was the tradition from the past, and only there will you find the most faithful Duck fans. Unfortunately that has changed, and just last year they started distributing tickets online in order to prevent students from skipping their Monday classes. It also guarantees an even number of tickets for each class, as well as saving us from waiting in line and freezing outside. Starting from graduates, seniors, juniors and so on, each class is divided into 5 different time slots, and only students in those specific times were able to login and get their tickets.

It was a great idea, but for some reason, they decided to switch it up in the beginning of this school year. I was really annoyed that the entire student body had to log onto Goducks.com at the same time. I really didn't understand why they changed it. There were never any problems with jammed up servers, and the annoying " Please Wait" page, where after 10 minutes of waiting you know the tickets are all gone. Also, many complaints had been received by the ASUO about the system and how there were too many people logging in at once,(which made the website so slow). The student government decided to change it back to the original divided time slots for today, just in time for two more home games. Unfortunately, I over slept when the Junior tickets were up, and missed my chance. I'm hoping to get one on Thursday from the returned tickets time session and watch UO beat Arizona State. GO DUCKS!
