It is the last winter term of my undergraduate career. This apparently translates into a Sunday night acknowledgement of my lack of creativity that most recently tends to manifest itself in a blog post that merely gives the preview of my upcoming week rather than some philosophical ramble about the twenties or passionate conversation on the importance of good homelessness policy. My apologies for the apathy.
This upcoming week is all about the thesis. I took a bit of a break from my literary review to do some other work and prepare for other sections of my thesis, but my goal is to have it completed by Thursday night. It will be so nice to have this part out of the way. I know everything I'm going to write already. I have an outline. I just need to write it. While working on my literary review this week, I will also be beginning my thesis interviews! I have three interviews set up this week to talk with involved staff about the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program. These interviews will go directly towards answering my thesis question of whether the policy is effective at creating sustainable, long-term solutions to homelessness in Lane County. I am excited to finally be doing the work towards my results section.
In addition to the thesis, I will be continuing my fabulous work-study job in the PPPM Internship Program and attending my second term of second-year American Sign Language. This week, we will be focusing on Deaf culture, which should be interesting and a nice change up to the typical class structure.
As stated in a previous post, I have acknowledged the fact that I need to maintain (more likely refurbish) my social life. Therefore, I already have a dinner date set up with my fabulous pal, Michelle. We are going to go try Papa's Soul Food. Neither of us has been before, so it will be nice to try something new. I still can't fathom how quickly my time in Eugene is coming to an end.
And that, my diehard blog readers, is the preview of my upcoming week. Thank you for sticking with me. I promise before the year ends I will have more interesting and eloquent posts again.
