Disappointment, but with a Cure

So, I am a little perturbed right now. I went online today at 6:00pm to the website where you request student tickets for the football games. I still can't believe it's all online now some days. I remember my freshman year, having to camp outside of the EMU in the wee hours of the morning (sometimes even in the snow) to get football tickets. I even slept outside of Autzen Stadium my freshman year for two nights in a row, waiting to get tickets to see the Ducks basketball team play in March Madness up in Spokane, Washington. My two friends and I were first in line and were even interviewed for the local news that night! I wrote my history paper out there on the sidewalk and got an A! Good times. I think freshman should still be required to act fanatically like this in order to get tickets. It adds to the experience and the camaraderie that is Ducks sports. Anyway, this is besides my point.

Today I went on to get my football ticket right at six like I was supposed to for the Utah game this next weekend. I was very excited because it was going to be my first game back at Autzen! Woo! I love that place! However, I click to request my ticket, type in the silly letter code it makes you do and then get this message, "Sorry, tickets are unavailable for the requested section." A.K.A. - SOLD OUT. Already?! No ticket for me. Sad day. Although, I'm going to check back on Thursday for any returned tickets. I can't wait until school starts up again just so we will have more students sections available to us again and thus a better opportunity to get tickets. I mean, I really think my Duck loyalty and the fact that I've been to nearly all games should be taken into consideration here! The team needs me there! Oh well, hopefully I'll get lucky on Thursday.

Anyway, despite the disappointment, I am about to go get cheered up by going to two of my favorite places in Eugene with some of my favorite Eugenians. The personal love of my life, Sweet Life (of course!), and the world's greatest pizza at Tracktown! When in doubt, drown your woes with good food and good friends.
