A GREEN GRADUATION

Yesterday, I went to the UO Duck Store on campus and bought my cap and gown. WEIRD! I am graduating in less than 3 months!!!

As I write this blog, I am staring at my cap and gown, which is hanging up outside my closet. This year, the University is doing something new and a little different. Instead of purchasing the traditional cap and gown, as in the past, they have decided to purchase new bio-degradable robes. This means that, if I were to bury my cap and gown in the ground, it would eventually bio-degrade and disappear. The University always takes actions to make sure they are being environmentally friendly, and it only seems fitting that I leave my time here in true Oregon style---in a green gown that just happens to be the color green. Go Ducks and may we forever bleed green!
