Article and Video!

Hi readers! I'm just writing the briefest of blurbs, in the hopes that you'll take a minute and check out these two totally awesome non-blog Katie items!
First, I was published in the Oregon Daily Emerald yesterday, January 13th. The ODE is the campus newspaper, and I am so excited to have been a part of it. I was writing to raise awareness of several of the events I've already mentioned in my blog posts, but I feel so lucky to have expanded my announcements beyond the blog world and into traditional media. Also, I plan to someday be a regular writer for various media centers, and am therefore thrilled to announce my first newspaper publication. Please check it out!
Also, this summer I filmed a short promotional video for the Annual Giving Program. It's on the program's main webpage, and can also be found here:
The video quality is incredible, and it was such an honor to be selected as a highlighted representative of University giving.
Both of these extra-blog examples of my recent media activity are really exciting for me. I've begun the process of expanding my writing and advocacy work beyond the digital blogsite, and into new mediums. Thanks for checking them out, and let me know what you think!
