Thinking about Next Term Already.

Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like the time for me to register for classes always comes during the busiest part of the term. I just got done registering for my winter term classes, and it came at the time when I was trying to study for an exam, make a presentation and write two papers. Luckily it didn't take too long. As a senior I register at one of the earlier times, so usually the classes I want to take aren't full by time I sign up. As of now, I am registered for four classes for next term, but I only need to take three. I am currently signed up for BA 318, J454, J387, and J320. BA 318 is the finance class for the minor. J454 is the final class in the public relations series, in which I will be presenting a portfolio that includes all of the work I have done, inside and outside of school, for the last few years. J387 is called communication history and is sort of like an elective class that I need for one of the J-school requirements. J320 is similar, and now I just have to decide which one I don't want to take.

I am glad that I took a class online over the summer, because now I can take three classes for the next two terms. This will make it much easier to balance my school work with my athletic obligations. It will be nice to have a few more hours during the week to take care of whatever I need to.

It's now Sunday morning and I am thankful that as of now there is no snow on the ground. It is surprisingly more sunny than I was expecting and I just hope it doesn't begin raining. If it begins raining, it could easily turn into snow if it gets as cold as it is supposed to tonight. I hope our team hasn't gotten out of the grind from being off in the first round. The team we play tonight has already played and won a playoff game, so we will need to make sure we are at our best, and don't get caught off guard. That said, we have been phenomenal all season long, and I have no doubt that everyone will be pumped up to play. There is nothing that says football more than a night game under the lights in the cold.

The best college football team in the nation was off this weekend, granting the Ducks some extra preparation time before next week's battle against the Arizona Wildcats. This last week has been full of questions about the Ducks, from those wondering if we really are the best team in the nation. I still believe we are, and we can't score 40 points every game. It doesn't help either when your opponent is faking injuries. Jim Rome was ripping Cal in two after one of their team officials told The Oregonian that faking injures was in fact part of the game plan. It's simply embarrassing and a disgrace to college football. Given that there is no penalty for this WEAK behavior, I just hope that our remaining opponents wish to lose with some dignity.
