Today I finally got my first taste of intramural softball for the school year. Luckily today was a pre-season game because we got absolutely destroyed. Our bats never really woke up on the offensive side and we made a few mistakes on defense (myself included). It's difficult to wait that long for the ball to make its way to you when you are trying to whack it. I always feel like I am waiting long enough but I am always to far ahead of it, constantly driving it into the ground on the left side. Hopefully I get it figured out, because the first regular season game is tomorrow...
The busy weekend is finally over and I got my fair share of softball action over at Howe Field. The girls lost the series but they put up a good fight against Arizona State. The Sun Devils are ranked 3rd in the nation and they showed why. Being at the game made me excited for my own softball game, but I forgot about the fact that it looks fun because the players are good and can actually hit the ball. I'm glad I finally made it out to a game and the crowd was pretty good. Hopefully we can keep moving up in the polls as the season's end nears.
On Thursday I made my way down to the book store for last week's gradation fair. I went and got my cap and gown for graduation, and I also bought a nice frame for my diploma. Nothing makes it feel more real than actually going to grab the cap and gown. I'm excited to graduate but I never really thought it would come this soon. This year has flown by faster than any of the previous three and it is weird to think that soon I won't be a college student anymore. In eight short weeks I will be an alumni and won't be returning to Eugene in the fall.
My classes are going well and I'm staying caught up with all the work. My social media class is pretty fun and I'm trying to get myself to send more tweets but it's kinda hard. I'm sure I'll get in the grind at some point but sometimes I really have nothing to say. Blogging, like I'm doing right now, is a form of social media so I suppose that I have a little experience in that sense. Social media can be extremely useful and it's wild how fast it has caught on. I feel like literally every different business has a facebook or a twitter account, and I'm glad I am becoming more literate with it all.
April 15th is coming up soon it shouldn't be too much longer before I figure out whether or not I'll be working back at Kroenke Sports Enterprises this summer. I applied for a summer sales job that is paid, which will be nice, and the deadline to apply is in five days. It'd be nice to get it so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
