Kyle Harris '05

Associate Development Officer

Kyle Harris graduated from the UO in 2005 with a BS in Journalism and an emphasis in electronic media. In addition to taking advantage of the academic opportunities within the School of Journalism and Communication, he started working as a student caller for the Annual Giving Program. "I found a lot of inspiration in talking with so many Duck grads. Being a student caller opened my eyes to how important the University of Oregon is to so many people and how important proper funding is for higher education" says Kyle.

After graduating, Kyle worked in advertising where he implemented ad campaigns for large companies and personally crafted ad campaigns for small business. Although he loved working in the ad industry, a career in philanthropy was calling. When the opportunity arose for Kyle to work for the University of Oregon, Kyle couldn't pass up the chance to come back to his alma mater.

Today Kyle works with members of the President's Society and continues to find inspiration talking with the alumni and donors whose contributions make the university such a dynamic place. "The University of Oregon has had such a large impact on who I am today" he says "that I want nothing more than to see the UO present as many opportunities as possible to all students who want to attend, regardless of their means to get here."
